X-Ray Analysis
Varian produces and develops a wide variety of X-ray tubes for industry and science.
Through development and acquisitions of Machlett Labs, Amperex and General Electric's industrial
X-ray business, Varian has gained expertise and experience producing
X-ray tubes used for X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) applications.
Varian pioneered the present day end-window, XRF tube, currently being used in
all state-of-the-art X-ray Spectrometers.
Varian's end-window XRF tube provides greater X-ray coupling to the sample
which increases system sensitivity.
Varian offers a complete line of XRF tubes used in wavelength and
energy dispersive X-ray Spectrometers.
All Varian XRF tubes provide high X-ray intensity and spectral purity over the entire
specified power range and throughout their life.
